Studio Sigga Heimis is a small studio with a few selected members that genuinely enjoys working with design and development. Our network is extensive and we collaborate with colleagues in different parts of the world. Design and its development is our passion and profession. From first concept to a finalized product - that is our playground.
We have key people for each category. Design & design management, product development, engineering and worldwide sourcing are just a few of the areas that we major in.The studio started in 1995 so our experience spans over a long period time and our collaborations have included some large companies in the design field.

Sigga Heimis (b.1970) is an industrial designer from IED/Domus in Milan, Italy. She has worked in different fields of industrial and product design and was an in-house designer at Ikea/Sweden for 7 years. After that she has worked as a Design Manager for Fritz Hansen in Denmark. Now she focuses fully on the Sigga Heimis studio. One of her passions is working with various design schools in the world and she has held countless lectures and workshops about design. David Sandahl (b.1971) is an innovation engineer from Halmstad University/Sweden. He has explored many areas of product development and has worked in-house for companies like Ikea, BRIO and SonyEricsson.
Liv Andersson (b. 1982) finished her Master of Industrial Design at Lund School of Industrial Design in Sweden in 2008. She received the Green Furniture Award in 2009 as well as the design scholarship of the Region of Scania (Region Skåne). You can notice a "green thread" through her work as she wants focus on, the unfortunately somewhat drained but evident expression; environmentally sustainable products or services.
Julia Treutiger (b.1980) is an Industrial Designer, who is educated at Lund School of Industrial Design. She has experienced both freelance work, such as product design for IKEA, and product developement in close connection with suppliers.

We like complete solutions and full circle processes. Many studios do only bits and parts of a long process but we like to offer our collaborators an A to Z path – we start the project and we complete the project. We can of course also offer only specific parts upon request, we leave that up to our clients to decide.
We are quite a small studio, but we are coordinated and fast. We like challenges and diversity and every new project is interesting for us.
